HIMT College of Pharmacy is established in the Year 2005 by Shanti Education Society, Registered under society act XXI of 1860.The campus has been beautifully landscaped with extensive greenery & plantation in a pollution free environment. HIMT College of Pharmacy offers four year of under-graduate (B. Pharm) and two year masters program (M. Pharm) in (Pharmaceutics & Pharmacology) along with two year diploma in Pharmacy. M.Pharm. Course is Approved by Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) and Affiliated to Dr A.P.J Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow. Courses
M.Pharm-
Masters in Pharmacy is a 2 year programme in Pharmaceutics and Pharmacology. The course is equally divided into four semesters including one year of research work under guidance of a supervisor well qualified in the specialisation.
Pharmaceutics
The course is aimed to make students understand the concepts behind the development of pharmaceutical dosage forms including novel drug delivery systems by imparting skilful learning blended with practical skills. After completion of the course, the students will have a thorough knowledge in the design, development, manufacturing, quality control, quality assurance, in-process quality control, stability and regulatory aspects of pharmaceutical dosage forms
Pharmacology
Pharmacology is basically involved in pre-clinical evaluation of candidate molecule of both natural and synthetic origin in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal and neurological research. Scholars are actively conducting research in screening new chemical entities and herbal drugs for their possible therapeutic activities which can be exploited in developing a clinically useful drug molecule.
Eligibility Criteria
For admission to M. Pharm, candidate must have passed 4years degree in Pharmacy from any recognized board/University, securing minimum 60% (Gen/OBC) and 55% (SC/ST).
Programme Duration
Duration of the course is 2 years divided equally into divided into four semesters. The programme includes one year Lab research work in the field chosen for the specialisation.
Admission Procedure
For admission to M. Pharm the eligible candidate will register himself/herself through either online mode at website portal or manually after coming to the college. After investigating the application, candidate seeking admission will be called for the interview. He/she will produce necessary documents including Aadhar card, provisional or original certificates of qualification required for the admission. With approval of the competent authority, candidate will pay the admission fees as per the college norms.
